About this course

This course is aimed at individuals who are employed in the Industrical Sciences sector working in a Scientific or Technical work role.

What will I learn?

The course will confirm your understanding of theory and that you can apply this through practical activity.

Where their are gaps in either your knowledge or practical skills, the course will challenge and stretch you so that you acquire and prove this important missing skills.

Entry requirements

The learner must be in full time employment in the Industrial Science sector, and working in a scientific or technical role

Study, assessment and qualifications

The course is delivered at the learners place of work, with the College Assessor visiting every 6-8 weeks.

During an Assessor visit, actions are agreed and a continued portfolio of evidience is built moving forward, proving the learners' understanding of the theory behind the subject matter and ability to apply this in their day to day practical activities.

Apart from the course fee, there are no additional costs

On completing the course, the learner can progress onto the NVQ Level 3 course

The College’s Adult funded courses and apprenticeships prior to 1st May 2017 and apprenticeships with non-levy paying employers post 1st May 2017, are funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency and part financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund (ESF).
