About this course

The course is suitable for people who have already taken a Beginners course (Year 1) and an Intermediate course (Year 2) or equivalent, and are comfortable at this level. This is a perfect French course for people with this knowledge of basic French who would like to reinforce their speaking and understanding skills.

What will I learn?

On completion you should be able to:

  • hold a conversation in French on many subjects such as daily life and family
  • describe your activities
  • speak about weather or places you know
  • give your opinion and take part on debate on different topics

The following topics will be covered throughout the year:

  • Daily life
  • Sports
  • Music
  • Cinema
  • Environment
  • French culture


Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements associated with this course other having the appropriate level of French.

Study, assessment and qualifications

Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.

There are no additional course costs however the tutor may ask you to buy a course book at the beginning of the course which will be used for all three terms over the year,
