Are you interested in learning the art of Massage and being able to apply these techniques to family members? If so, our introductory course will be just what you need to help you to help your loved ones to dispel the strains and stresses of daily life.
The benefits of this treatment include stress reduction and muscle relaxation and will help to develop better sleep patterns.
The aim of the course is to equip you with the techniques and skills to be able to carry out a relaxing massage of the back, neck and shoulders using massage oil.
The following topics will be covered during the course:
•An Introduction to the History of Massage
•The Effects and Benefits of Massage
•Health and Safety issues in performing massage correctly
•Overview of Massage Techniques - tutor demonstration of a full treatment
•Doing it Yourself - practising in pairs to acquire the skills required for a relaxing back massage.
In all therapies it is advisable to wear loose comfortable clothing and comfortable footwear to gain maximum benefit.
We recommend that you bring a pen, pencil, coloured pencils and a notebook to enable you to make your own notes throughout the day. You should also bring a packed lunch, if you wish and small change for tea/coffee.
