About this course
This course is perfect for anybody who has already completed our German - Beginners course, or who already have a basic understanding of German, and wish to further develop skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing
What will I learn?

Consolidate and extend your knowledge of the vocabulary and expressions needed to deal with everyday situations in a German-speaking country. You will be encouraged to practise these expressions in class and to develop your learning by doing written exercises at home.

Grammar exercises will be introduced as the need arises and you will practise the four language skills of reading, listening, speaking and some writing during each class. The emphasis of the course is on speaking and listening.

Topics will include:

  • Eating at restaurants
  • Using public transport
  • Booking accommodation
  • Weather
  • Talking about what you did on holiday
Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements, although you should already have a basic understanding of the German language, either through previous experience or from studying on our German - Beginners course.
Study, assessment and qualifications

Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor. There are no final qualifications associated with this course.

Please bring writing materials to the course.

Your tutor will ask you to purchase a course book, this will be discussed in your first session.

It is recommended that a little homework each week will help you to progress with your language learning.
