About this course


Our Microsoft Word Intermediate training courses is suitable for those with a working knowledge of Word and is wishing to learn the more complex features to improve their current skills.  A reasonable level of knowledge of using Word is required before attending an Intermediate course, or our Word Introduction course. Note that for group company courses or on-site training the course can be customised to your exact requirements.

What will I learn?

This Intermediate level course has been developed to enable you to:

Produce work more quickly and effectively

Improve and clarify the presentation of data by customising and formatting tables

Produce high quality documents, for example reports and letters


During the course, you will learn how to:

Customise bullet points

Create newspaper type columns

Customise, edit headers and footers

Use section breaks

Produce tables - draw, format, layout, edit columns and rows and create formulae

Use borders

Insert and edit images, SmartArt, shapes and WordArt

Use Mail Merge

Entry requirements

This course is suitable for those that have some experience of using Microsoft Word and want to increase their knowledge of some of the more specialised features.

Study, assessment and qualifications
There are no formal qualifications associated with this course, however you will obtain a certificate of completion from Wiltshire College.
