About this course

This Foundation (Theory) Module qualification is a legal requirement* in order to progress onto other spraying related modules, such as:

  • PA6A Handheld Knapsack Pesticide Applicator
  • PA2A Tractor Mounted Boom Sprayer
  • PA4 Slug Pellott Application

You are also required to hold this Certificate of Competence if supervising users of pesticides who have not achieved a Certificate of Competence in their own right.

 

*Exemption applies if you were born before 1 January 1965, or are working under the direct supervision of a certificate holder. This exemption is scheduled to continue until 26 November 2015.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
Study, assessment and qualifications
Assessments will take place immediately following the course.

The purpose of the NPTC assessment is to prove occupational competence; further NPTC charges apply if re-assessment is required.

What could I do next?

Successful candidates will be able to progress on to either the PA6A, or the PA2A or PA4S course.
