About this course
This is Part 3 of our French Intermediate course, which is suitable for anyone who has a basic understanding of French, either through your own experience or from completing our Beginners Parts 1, 2 & 3 and Intermediate Parts 1 & 2 courses.
What will I learn?

You will consolidate and extend your knowledge of the vocabulary and expressions needed to deal with everyday situations in a French-speaking country. You will be encouraged to practise these expressions in class and to reinforce your learning by doing written exercises at home.  Grammar exercises will also be introduced as the need arises. Students will practise the four language skills of reading, listening, speaking and some writing, with the emphasis of the course is on speaking and listening.

On completion, you should be able to:

  • Use French grammar structure and verb tense in different situations
  • Understand and participate in simple conversations in everyday situations
  • Demonstrate confidence in using basic expressions in French
  • Demonstrate some knowledge of the francophone culture
  • Feel inspired to continue studying the French language and culture

Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements associated with this course, however you should have a basic understanding on French.
Study, assessment and qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor. There are no formal qualifications associated with this course.

You will be asked to buy a course book for this course, the tutor will advise the best book to buy.
