About this course

The Level 3 Diploma in Mental Health Care course aims to provide the main skills and knowledge required to competently support adults with mental health issues. It gives new workers with no prior experience a comprehensive understanding of the issues their service users are experiencing, which is crucial to develop competent and safe workers.

This course is ideal for those working in the following job roles:

It is a requirement that you work or volunteer regularly in a Health and Social Care setting.

Entry requirements
Candidates are required to be working within a health care setting in order to complete this qualification.
Study, assessment and qualifications
Delivery of the Award will take place in the workplace by a sector qualified assessor using direct observation as the main assessment method. You will be assessed on the knowledge units by assignments, and should compile portfolios of evidence for the competence units.
