About this course

This is a one-day introductory reflexology workshop that is perfect for beginners who are interested in a reflexology course or who would like to learn a new skill just for fun.

You will be taught how to both give and receive hand and foot massages using techniques that you will find useful for aiding sleep, reducing pain and encouraging well-being.

What will I learn?

The aim of the course is to equip you with the techniques and skills to be able to carry out a relaxing foot or hand massage.

The following topics will be covered during the course:

  • Basic techniques for foot and hand reflexology
  • Introduction to foot and hand chart navigation for self-health promotion
  • Relaxing and invigorating techniques
  • Entry requirements
    There are no entry requirements associated with this course - you don't need any previous experience to learn this relaxing therapy.
    Study, assessment and qualifications
    Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes, and will be undertaken regularly with you throughout the day by the course tutor. There are no final qualifications associated with this course.
    Additional costs and information

    In all therapies it is advisable to wear loose comfortable clothing and comfortable footwear to gain maximum benefit. It is also useful to bring water to drink after treatment.

    We recommend that you bring a pen, pencil, coloured pencils and a notebook to enable you to make your own notes throughout the day. You should also bring a packed lunch, if you wish and small change for tea/coffee.

    Certain health conditions are contraindicated for massage and holistic therapies; if you have a medical problem and are unsure about your suitability for this course please contact the college prior to enrolling.
