Are you interested in learning about printmaking? Would you like to develop your printmaking skills using a range of fascinating techniques? Would you like to take your ideas in a new direction or just welcome an opportunity to create multiple images?
If so, this course will meet your needs. You will be introduced to a range of basic printmaking techniques including lino, collagraph, monoprinting, intaglio - drypoint and etching, screenprinting - stencils, woodcuts, etching - aquatint and screenprinting - photostencil; more experienced students may be able to undertake the more advanced processes such as photographic printmaking. This course will teach you how to print onto surfaces such as wood, vinyl, paper, card or other prepared surfaces - it is not a textile printing course.
The aim of the course is to introduce beginners to basic printmaking techniques for beginners and to develop the techniques of those with previous experience.

Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor. There are no final qualifications associated with this course.
You should wear old clothes for this course as it can get messy!
